Abnormal Background of EDX and Other Issues on 10.3390/applnano4030013


Abnormal noise-free EDX background is observed on the Figure 7(a) of this article [1]. Similar noise-free EDX background is also observed on another article [2], but the causes for these noise-free EDX background remain unknown.

And the SEM equipment was misidentified on this article [1], whose main text stated "scanning electron microscopy (SEM-SipmaVP-03-67, Johannesburg, South Africa) was utilized to provide a better image and the elements of both the bioflocculant and biosynthesized CuNPs". However, the SEM image on Figure 6(a) is believed to be obtained from a Zeiss equipment.
