Problematic Ethic Statements on Two Articles by WU Ran et. al.
The article [1] and [2] by WU Ran (East China Normal University and Second Military Medical University) share the same ethical approval from the Second Military Medical University with the approval number of 20170305, however the recruitment described in these two articles are inconsistent with each other.
In article [1], authors state that the participants were recruited from three universities, including a key university, a general university, and a vocational college in 2018. While in article [2], the authors state that the participants were recruited from a public comprehensive university in 2016.
Furthermore, based on the approval number, the ethical approval was likely to be granted in 2017, latter than the recruitment of the participants in the study [2].
It remains unclear why such error occurred.
