Problematic Ethics Statement on Two Articles from Wuhan University

The ethical approval statements on two articles [1, 2] published by the same author group at Wuhan University are found to be problematic.

All authors listed on the articles [1, 2] stated that the ethical approval was granted from Huazhong Agricultural University. We note that no author listed on both the article [1] and [2] was from Huazhong Agricultural University, and the authors did not claim any experiments were conducted at there, therefore, the ethical approvals disclosed on the articles [1, 2] may be violations of the ethics management regulations in China, which requires researchers to obtain ethical approval from their own institutions, or from the the institutions where the experiments were conducted.
